Introduction to IBM products:

IBM is one of the world’s greatest pioneers in IT industry and provides a variety of hardware and software products. IBM has a long and rich history in establishing known standards in IT industry to be used for server design and production. IBM server production began back in 1964 with the introduction  of   S/360   systems  later  upgraded  to  S/370,  S/390,  zSeries  and  finally System z. The latest version of this category of computers are IBM z9 and IBM z10 now covering a vast portion of the market.

In  early  1970,  System/3,  a new series of IBM servers, were introduced which  paved  the  way  for  newer  System/360,  AS/400,  iSeries and finally System i. Also, in mid 1980s new generation of UNIX-based servers were introduced, IBM RT, which led to IBM pSeries and now the System p, based on IBM POWER processors
